Audiobooks: I started way back in Oxford University in the 1990s, recording books for the blind, including official documents for the then Home Secretary David Blunkett. Nowadays I record audiobooks from home. I am particularly in demand for Fantasy novels with my range of voices and accents all underpinned by a strong, easy British voice. Commercials: samples include Reebok TV: includes ITV's World War 2 in Colour. Comedy: includes voiceovers for world's longest running live comedy show Newsrevue in London and world famous sketch team the Oxford Revue. Eton College: this is where I learned to speak Shakespeare properly, relish the rhythm of sentences, the punch of consonants and the poetry of vowels. I bring this appreciation of the words I speak into everything I record. Oxford University: reading books for the blind, including official government documents for the then Home Secretary. Guildford School of Acting: Acting degree with lessons in studio use and microphone technique. Actors Centre, London; classes and workshops including one with Bernard Shaw. Audible/ACX: independent audiobook narration and production. Very popular for Fantasy titles. Journalism: published author (of Teach Yourself Advanced Sudoku) and columnist for the Guardian newspaper in London. I have repeatedly received praise in reviews for my use of language and richness of my speech. I enjoy words, and it comes through when I record them. I have huge experience in two very opposite areas: 1) Comedy. I am a comedy writer/performer and improviser. I have many sketches online, have been part of many award-winning teams, and have excellent delivery and timing. I can do a wide range of voices and accents, and range from wry to very silly. 2) Math. I am a published author in the area of math and logic. I have tutored math to pupils for over 10 years and am known for making what many perceive to be a dry and tedious topic animated, interesting and enjoyable. I can take material that many would see as dull and lift it, making it more accessible and popular in the process.
