I took 4 years of choir in High School, and practiced for to many competitions and performances often with one on one training and critiquing on how to control my voice.
In the years before I started my tenure in college as a nontraditional student I had many On-the-job types of voice over experiences.
First was when I recorded several commercials over a years time for a radio saleswoman whom overheard my voice while out eating dinner one evening and at a restaurant. She had big dreams for me, and wanted me become a huge radio personality and was relentless in her pursuits, until I recorded several commercials for her many clients using a multitude of accents from hillbilly to debonair.
Second would be durring my employment as a interior designer and home furnishings consultant in Michigan I was approached and used in many of the companies radio spots for promoting sales.
Next while managing a furniture company I was asked to co-host during some live on the air sales events for the company I worked for.
Last but most importantly I the most training I received happened while I was working directly for 88.1 The Burg. I worked for 88.1 The Burg for around 4 to 5 years and had a few roles there as well as many on the air time slots. I recorded 100s commercials, promos, PSAs, and a vast array of audio clips.
