The nature of my voice is such that it has taken me rather indirectly to this point, and though I have been using this talent of mine for quite a few years, it's really only now I've started the voice-over venture.
Early enough on I wanted only to sing (the rock star thing), and took numerous voice lessons in college to fine tune me, and though it helped, and I did do some singing in college, the course I took upon graduation was not in voice.
In New York (Putnam), I auditioned for a local radio spot by reading a news clip I'd recorded, written down, and then re-read onto cassette & they invited me on the spot. I got there rather excited only to find they wanted to give me what amounted to pennies, and I couldn't afford it, much as I wanted it at the time.
So I took a more practical approach to life, but no matter where I go I am constantly (and I mean almost daily) told that I should do something with my voice. Along with a distinctive voice, my diction is near perfect because I was raised in CT by a British father, so enunciation was important, and has remained so.
While my experience is not vast, the quite alluring nature of my voice and the professionalism I have always used in my dealings with others will quite quickly prove me worth hearing.

Other than a voice that tells its own kind of story, I have a passion for the English language, and enjoy writing on a regular basis (as well as reading).
My career includes writing, administration, computer proficiency, client and vendor relationship management, inventory management--in short, quite a bit in the business world. My favorite part has always been the writing and the communication with people. I have a respect for, and enjoyment of hard work, and ultimately the feeling of a job well done.
