Mike is a Northern English native, more specifically a native of Yorkshire, more specifically than that: Teesside. He is of Scottish parentage. His "core spread" is thus Standard British English (received pronunciation), Northern English, Yorkshire and North-East, including Geordie and, oh yeah, Scottish.
He covers accents and the requisite terminology from posh and snooty to gruff and "common", Southern English, London (urbane and finger-on-the-pulse Estuary), Standard (American) English, southern states American English plus a variety of other accents.
As an experienced professional actor, Mike's characterisations are limitless in terms of authenticity and intensity, with a trend towards shrieking megalomaniac but with room for tender and constrained ... honest!
Impersonations: Mike is a seasoned Elvis impersonator (spoken and singing). He also loves to lend his chops to Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Sean Connery, James Mason, even Tom Jones and a variety of national sterotypes. As a resident of Germany for over 15 years, his German comedy voice is one of his faves. Oh yeah, and he does all the moves in the booth, too. The pelvic thrusts are not to be missed. That's when he's singing Elvis, if you missed a bit.
