I have very little, have done nothing major professional but recording a couple of phone greetings.
I love to use my voice and feel that I have a very broad range that can be adapted to perform many dialects/characters/situations well. I have been fascingated by voice acting for a very long time, but didn't know how to get started.
Last night I met someone who has been doing voice acting through your site on a phone call (I am a professional IT guy and was helping him. He liked my voice, told me his success story and said that this was a great place to start a career and work voice acting jobs.
I performed in speech and debate all through high school and college.
Being an IT guy, I have access to almost any recording/production software, high speed lines, storage etc. I have researched additional equipment for a blog that I have been working on as a hobby and feel comfortable with the technology.
I have also performed comedy at a few clubs during open mic, but nothing professional, although I would love to do that too.
I am a skilled IT consultant and project manager. I manage a department of technicians and staff in addition to architecting and supporting client technology directly.
I have great personal and professional communication skills and genuinely enjoy interacting with others.
I have had experience in the past with Acid,DigiDesign, Sonic Foundry, various 4 and 8-track recorders, MiDi etc. I am also an amateur guitar player and am somewhat educated on amplification, distortion effects, and general music/audio production technology. I would not say I am an expert by any means, but I am an eager student who could pick things up easily.
