About Michael

  • Member sinceMay 16, 2012
I've been described as everything from trustworthy and warm for commercial work, deep and smooth for presentations, and velvet sandpaper for promotional work. For my normal speaking voice, I've been compared many times to George Clooney, Denis Leary, and Sam Ellliott.

I started quite accidentally while managing a recording studio in Cleveland, Ohio called Ante Up Audio. We were working with American Greetings and our voice talent never showed. They had noticed that I had a deep voice and had me come in to rescue the session. I never looked back. If you've gone to any Keith Urban, Lady Gaga, Natasha Bedingfield, New Kids on the Block or Ne-Yo concert, you've already heard my voice. I've been featured in local newscast bumpers (Fox affiliates in San Diego, Nashville, Columbus), electronic greeting cards (American Greetings), nationally run commercials (Ford, Fram, etc.) to narration for documentary subjects. I've been working professionally in the music industry since 2005 in both Nashville and Los Angeles. I do most of my voice tracking through a Neumann TLM103 mic into a Pacifica PreAmp into a Distressor compressor that's connected to a brand new Avid HD I/O with an Apogee BigBen clocking everything in. I track in an acoustically treated room dedicated to mixing and post production. This isn't a bedroom studio. I am also certified in both Protools and Logic Studio and am capable of delivering content in 7.1.
