I spent my time in school in a balance between arts, science, and desktop publishing classes. Early music education provided me with a sense of rhythm and pitch. I have performed on various stages in vocal, instrumental, and promotional roles in front of intimate and larger crowds. Years of reading philosophical and scientific texts, and process manuals makes me very comfortable with technical copy as well as character based emotionally driven-scripts. I'm involved in athletics as both a participant and a promoter which affords me a live opportunity to refine a sense of empathic engagement and humorous timing.
My formal training was from Brian S. Atwood of Brian S Atwood Voice-Overs (http://www.briansatwood.com/). The lessons covered aspects of voice technique and copy composition. During the course of the program we worked through a wide range of material to provide me with a solid understanding of what makes different types of scripts come to life.
