I've worked at A. Duie Pyle, an east coast trucking company, since 2004 creating their videos (meetings/training/orientation/etc) from copywriting to distribution. I handle the narration on any video that needs it, generally striking a tone that balances casual conversation and professional instruction. YouTube links are available upon request.
I've also dabbled in reading short stories for a science fiction podcast, StarShipSofa.
I completed several years of college before leaving to join the workforce. I attended a web seminar on voice performance a year or two ago, but the majority of my editing and VO skills have been honed on the job.
I don't have much in the way of recording equipment, but I'm constantly surprised at the quality I can wring out of the few tools I have on hand. I use mobile equipment to record audio both at home and in the studio at my day job, then process the file in Adobe Audition or Soundbooth. The quiet environment, combined with some noise reduction and various enhancements, makes for a really smooth and clean finished product.
I'm proficient in audio and video editing, file conversions and various IT skills.
