My grandfather passed away a while ago, which is not the point of this story. It's merely the backdrop. My grandmother asked my cousin and I to do a reading at the memorial service at her church. Of course I agreed. I walked in to the church that day just as the pastor was leading my family to their seats. My grandmother handed me the reading right then and there. I'd never read it before. My cousin got up and read his like anyone without training would: looking down at the page, barely audible, reading the lines and not feeling the words. He didn't have any training so I'm not faulting him, but when I got behind the pulpit I already knew my first line. I looked straight at the multitude gathered in the church and engaged them, my voice rising above the crowd in tribute to my late grandfather. During the reception, I was approached by scores of people, each of them telling me how wonderful my reading had been, what I nice voice I have, etc. etc. It showed me one thing . . .
The power of my voice.
I pursued acting in Los Angeles for six years, during which time I attended the Van Mar Academy of Motion Picture & Television Acting under Ivan S. Markota. I studied Scenework/Method with Stephanie Feury, Camera Technique with Jeff Reubens, The Business of Acting with Jeff Sable, and Improv/Comedy with Steve Cardwell. During that time I also attended Landmark Education. I performed in films such as "Black Hole", directed by Jorgo Oglenovski and "The Family Porter", directed by Jeff Mehaui. I also did serveral gigs for the History Channel and Weller/Grossman Productions, such as "Feuds And Vendettas: The Clay County Wars" and "U.F.O's in the Bible". Prior to moving to Los Angeles, I studied Theatre Arts at Central Connecticut State University, during which time I perofrmed in numerous plays, including "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Suburbia", and "Glengarry Glen Ross".
I'm using Nero Sound Trax 2 with an M-Audio Delta 1010LT Sound card, an e825S Sennheiser Microphone with a Sterling Audio STPF2 Professional Mesh Pop Filter, and AKG K 44 Headphones.
I'm an actor and voice-over artist with a great voice and I'm fun to work with, enthusiastic, and professional.
