About Matthew
Matt is a determined voice actor that has been a part of and continues to search for - stories to tell. He takes great pride in being an actor that dives deeply into character choice / motivation and takes into account various circumstances to inform performance. His background in improv helps ground his characters and makes recording a worthwhile and genuine experience. More than anything, Matt is overjoyed to be able to be a part of such a fantastic and creative industry.
Matt has exhaustively trained himself in acting for almost his whole life, receiving formal acting training from various teachers and a degree at the University of California, Irvine.
He's participated in several musicals and many plays showcasing his voice in such roles as: Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly!, The Reverend Hale in The Crucible, Gaston in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Major Paul Petkoff in The Arms and The Man, among many more!
In addition to traditional acting, Matt also has many years of improv training and performance under his belt - having participated in such organizations as Comedy Sportz LA High School League and Improv Revolution.
