- Experience, training, and equipmentI have a great passion for voice overs. I've been fortunate to have recorded a wide range of VO's for the last 20 years. Everything from straight narration to documentaries to TV and radio commercials to infomercials to training films to online commercials to children's storybooks to romance novels and biographies and history books. A great thrill for me was working behind the mic with Dr. Who's, Colin Baker; Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy on recorded stories for Big Finish productions in London. I played a diverse range of characters including the Ice Lord in 'Red Dawn'. I have a sound booth in my flat. I work off a laptop and an AT2020 USB Cardiod Condenser Microphone with mic stand. I generally work with Garage band to edit and produce my own MP3's. Winner 2015 - Society of Voice Arts & Science Best Romance Audio book Narration - The Tempting of Thomas Carrick by Stephanie Laurens. I've been an actor for 30 years with a strong background in theater; Shakespeare, Chekov, Ibsen. Shaw. I am ex Royal Navy. On board ship my task was to act as the chief communicator between the Operations room and the aft end of the ship during exercises. I have been involved in telemarketing, recently working as a fundraiser. I helped raise money for Hilary; Obama; Greenpeace; Unicef; and Planned parenthood.
