I would love to make your voice-over script sound confident, down-to-earth, encouraging, informative, conversational, humorous, educational, engaging, energetic, relatable, or fun. I can sound friendly, calming, sweet, pure, clear, deep, and expressive. Together, we can make your whole project perfect. I am a part-time VO actor with access to high-quality audio recording equipment. I always strive to complete projects in a timely fashion, even on short notice. I am also a singer (alto-tenor), having sung in many choirs and as a soloist over the years. I can play the clarinet and acoustic/electric guitar, as well as write poetry. I have been a classroom teacher, so I have the vocal stamina for long-form copy. I have a comforting voice and easy-going way about me, which allows me to find just the right style for your project.

    • Additional vocal abilities
I can use different voices for characters while reading a book aloud. When a book is based in Ireland or Scotland, I have been known to use an Irish or Scottish accent. I can also do short impersonations of some cartoon characters, like Woody Woodpecker, Bugs Bunny, and Goofy.
    • Experience, training, and equipment
I am a teacher who works with differently abled people, so I know what it takes to connect with and engage an audience. From silly voices to music and everything in between, I strive to make my lessons interesting and bring the words to life. I am a sought-after speaker and lecturer, having made speeches to large groups for many years. This requires staying composed, speaking clearly, and answering questions effectively. My Father was a Toastmaster, who trained me to speak off the cuff, which improved my debating skills. I've used my alto/tenor voice to sing both in choral ensembles and as a soloist at weddings, in school and church choirs, and other events. I've also arranged many hymns over the years. I received intensive training from Brian Atwood of Brian S Atwood Voice-Overs (www.briansatwood.com). I have access to equipment which includes: VocalBooth.com Platinum Series double-walled booth Shure KSM27 microphone SM Pro Audio TB202 Tube PreAmp Audacity HP 270-P024 Source-Connect and phone patch in-studio I can send all file formats (WAV, mp3, AIFF, etc.) as needed, on demand. I also have easy access to several top-level, professional recording studios in the Greater Pennsylvania (PA) and Northern New Jersey (NJ) areas with SourceConnect and ISDN capabilities. I always complete my work on time and I look forward to using my talents to help you on your next project!
