Mary Jane Wells is a British female Voice artist, whose work won a BAFTA, 3 Audies and 3 Audie nominations, and 9 Earphone awards in recent years. Her reads are described as confident, quirky, natural, sincere and authoritative. She is known for making the driest copy sound warm, inviting and friendly, and for bringing authentic human connection into all of her work. She finds voice work exciting and inspiring and it reflects in her work. For corporate work, she has an optomistic, driven and educated sound: for narration work she sounds sophisticated and assured. Her animation characters have been described as having 'hilarious comic timing': she voiced 3 characters for the Obama Campaign's publicity on Prop 39 as she has an ear for accents and versatile, wildly different character reads. Her latest videogame character is in Bethesda's STARFIELD and she has been employed for her 'subtle, truthful, powerful acting' and 'nailing the read first time'. She has particular interest in projects with a global humanitarian focus, that are ethically sound. She is an active campaigner in the abolition of slavery and torture.   I trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in the UK with Hamish Wilson. I like ongoing training, and feel that lot of my chops come from constant practice on the job. I am a full time VO artist. Recent work in the USA where Mary Jane resides was for the following clients; Microgenius, Bank of America, Claritas for Futurebrand who branded the Olympics, Tech-crunch, Jaguar, Emagine - and Dettol, Forest of Dean, City University London, Shade Station TV commercials in the UK and a mediation CD. She is also the voice of LinkedIn Talent Pipeline. MA hons English Literature, Glasgow University MDR Acting, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama I love both the large and the small scale voice gigs and I am fully committed to work on voice on many levels. I work with voicestudiointernational.com as an associate throughout the year, as it is such a central part of what makes a free, creative and inspired human being, never mind what it does for me as a voiceover artist and actor. I also am working on a research paper with the Centre for Voice in Performance, for the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in the UK. I attend workshops with Candi Milo, Elaine Craig, Martha Mayakis, Carole day Kimble, and regularly workout at garden of sound, LA. I have my own studio at home, with Source connect.
