I started in the studios singing jingles. One day a producer was bemoaning the fact that her elderly voice talent had called in sick. My question was, (shaky voice) "How old do you want her, Dearie?"
That began a career that has spanned 25 years. TV and radio spots, documentaries, commercials, phone messages, books on tape, etc. have all given me a rich of Voice-Over fun memories. Some of my larger clients include:
Nebraska Furniture Mart
Sophir-Morris Paint
First National Bank
Visa
Mastercard
American Express
Sprint
Hyatt Hotels
Oh yes, and I won an award for one of my books on CD. It was my voicing of "8 to Great" which won 3rd place in a
national competition.
I'm easy to work with, very responsible, and love voice work, so give me a call!
National Speech competition finalist in College
BA in Speech and Theatre with a minor in music
Best Actress in a Musical in Omaha NE
Vocal and Performance Coach for an American Idol Contestant
Have had the leads in over 30 musicals.
Have been on-camera talent for over 40 clients.
Have done voice work for over 300 clients.
I have Pro-Tools and a high quality Sterling Audio mike, but best of all, I have Joseph, a techie guru who lives close by and records me. Then he edits me and makes me sound reallllly good!
In addition to the things I've already listed, you may be interested to know that I've had a regular TV spot on a morning show, written books on motivation and success, taught high school speech, done executive speech coaching, and even gave a sermon once when the pastor was out of town!
I had my own radio show for awhile but found it wasn't my thing. Now I'm semi-retired, in the process of selling my business, and only speaking or singing on a rare occasion. Voice work is something I see myself doing lots of for this next phase of my life. I just love it!
