I've been telling stories and sharing information using my voice for over 40 years. In school, I was a speech team nerd and excelled in both expressive and informative speaking categories, competing at the local, state, and national levels. After school, I continued with competitive speaking as both a judge and a team coach. Then, I taught High School English for nine years before taking a break to stay home with my two kids. Reading aloud to my children has been one of my favorite parts of being a mom, and, together, we read our way through nearly all the kid books in our local library. These days, I am an avid audiobook listener, devouring fiction and non-fiction alike while I work from home as a paper cutting artist. I also lead regular programs at my church, speaking to audiences in person and across the state through Zoom. I've always loved reading and speaking, and I'm a quick learner when it comes to new technology. I grew up around a recording studio as my dad was the news director and morning show personality for our local radio station, and I developed a keen ear for good vocal tones and tight recording. In many ways, becoming an audiobook narrator is the logical next step in my career path, and I look forward to the challenges and fun.
