Most of my experience comes from stage acting and talking in front of large groups. I have recorded short introductions for a web audio at the university where I work and hosted a segment about a hiking/biking trail for a local TV program. I have a children's audio book that is currently on Amazon and am working on additional audio books.
I have a BA degree in Speech Communication, emphasis in theatre from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. I have taken voice over classes from Brent Brace (Westside Studios), Terry Daniels and Robin Armstrong and commercial acting from Elayne Stein. I take singing lessons from Mary Sue Gee (Los Osos, CA).
I have access to audio equipment at Cal Poly State University (where I work) and have a home recording studio with a Blue Yeti Mic, Sure 57 and surround myself with Auralex form. I record with Twisted Wave and/or Adobe Audition and edit mostly with Audition. I also utilize plug-ins from Izotope to help with back ground and miscellaneous mouth noises that might pop up.
I believe my experience being a mother, self employed business owner, employer and general office assistant has provided me with a myriad of different skills that enhance my ability to voice many different types of characters. It is part of my job to help them find the answers they need and to do it in a calm, cool, collected yet authoritative manner. I have a very upbeat, happy, easygoing personality and always strive to be the best I can be and provide the best service and/or product possible.
