More About Luke
I'm a Canadian who has travelled the world as a trailing spouse. My partner and I have lived in Panama, Japan, Kenya, Turkey and of course Canada. In each country we've learned more about how different people communicate and their traditions and cultures. This makes me more attuned than most people to cultural differences and tolerant of different ways of doing things.
Since we live a semi-itinerant lifestyle, I have worked in a variety of industries and settings. As a teacher of chemistry and physics in Canada and Panama, and with a degree in chemistry from the University of Waterloo, I'm well versed in scientific and technical language that appears in medical and scientific scripts.
I also worked as a a cabinetmaker and furniture maker in Canada making familiar with language of machinery, their operation and maintenance and I have the skills to use them.
While living in Japan, Kenya and Turkey I worked for the Canadian embassy processing passport applications. This means I am familiar with government language and the complexities of running large scale organizations. Such as onboarding new hires, training regimens to get them up to speed and HR processes involved.
