Louise is a versatile, award winning actress and voice artist with over 30 years experience.
Louise has performed in many films, television series and theatre productions since 1981 playing a variety of roles both comedic and dramatic, performing characters with North American, British (RP and regional), German, Scottish and a variety of South African accents including neutral English South African, Afrikaans and other South African dialects.
Louise has always had a love for radio and all things voice related and has worked consistanly since 1981 performing in many radio serials and dramas playing a variety of different characters for SAfm (National Radio Station).
Currently she can be heard on SAfm's RADIO VUKA which is a daily RADIO SOAP that has been running since 2009. Louise performs the roles of Veronica, a middle aged actress and DORIS, an interfering senior citizen.
Louise has read Poetry and numerous Audio Books both for children and adults also for SAfm.
From 1989 to 2007 Louise presented and read News on SAfm, 5fm and 94.7fm Radio. During that time Louise created the voice of hilarious and much loved character Thelma, a senior citizen with a penchant for cocktails. She also voiced other colorful characters from all walks of life including Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth, Margerate Thatcher and local politicians Thuli Madonsela and Helen Zille.
Since leaving university Louise has done many voice overs for Television and Radio in different styles from Soft Sell and Sexy to Conversational and Corporate, Hard sell and Bright to Character voices and Announcer Tags.
Louise has voiced several animation series such as Maja the Bee and Ball Town, she is the voice of Josh in The Magic Cellar and Ma Roach in Illuminati.
Louise has been coaching privately for performance, voice and accent training since 2002 and gives vocal, accent and performance master classes and workshops privately and for AFDA (The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance) and for the University of Witwatersrand School of Drama.
Louise is the vocal and dialect coach for the Indigo View Academy of Acting
Matriculated from St Marys School in Johannesburg in 1976
Attended The University of Cape Town for four years from 1977. Graduating with a Performers Diploma in Drama in 1980.
