LIZZY GORE | www.brightsparkvo.com | lizzy@brightsparkvo.com "Fast. Thoughtful. Flawless." <-- That’s how one Voice123 client described working with me, which is convenient, because it saves me several paragraphs of bragging. Need a female voice actor who’s fast, easy to direct, rolls with last-minute script changes, delivers crystal-clear professional audio, and won’t spontaneously disappear when you send a 7 PM message about the revision you suddenly need tomorrow morning? Hi. I’m Lizzy. BOOK DIRECTLY: www.brightsparkvo.com lizzy@brightsparkvo.com YOUR SECRET-WEAPON-LEVEL VOICEOVER UPGRADE If my calculations are correct, your hands are full approximately 24/7. You’re juggling clients, deadlines, script changes, legal review, stakeholders, creative direction, three meetings that should have been emails, and an email that definitely should have been a meeting. The voiceover part should be easy. I’m a professional female voice actor and 15-year voiceover veteran who has completed 1,000+ projects for national brands, small businesses, nonprofits, universities, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and just about everyone in between. My job is to walk into your project already understanding that YOUR time matters. I take direction quickly. I make smart choices. I’m meticulous without making the session feel meticulous. And when something changes at the last possible second? Fine by me. As one recent client put it: “WOW, THAT SESSION WENT SO FAST I ACTUALLY HAVE TIME FOR A NAP BEFORE MY NEXT MEETING.” This is the dream, people. FRESH + REAL. SMART + WARM. CONFIDENT + HUMAN. My voice lives in that sweet spot between polished and actually sounding like a person. I deliver conversational voiceover, warm narration, approachable authority, intelligent corporate reads, natural commercial performances, caring healthcare narration, engaging e-learning, inspirational nonprofit storytelling, youthful Gen Z and Millennial reads, and grounded performances with warmth and gravitas. Need effortless confidence? Yep. Friendly and bright? Absolutely. Smart, understated and conversational? All day. Caring authority? One of my favorites. Dry, knowing, slightly sarcastic energy? Please give me the script immediately. I can bring shades of everything from Sigourney Weaver’s grounded intelligence and gravitas to Aubrey Plaza’s dry, contemporary edge — while still finding a performance that sounds unmistakably like your brand rather than somebody doing an impression. Because the goal isn’t to sound “voiceovery.” The goal is to make somebody keep listening. WE HAVE ABOUT 3–5 SECONDS. That’s roughly how long you have before an audience decides whether they’re interested or whether their thumb is heading toward SKIP. So let’s make those seconds count. Great voiceover is more than a nice voice reading correctly. It’s timing. Intention. Point of view. Understanding why THIS word matters and the next one doesn’t. Knowing when to pull back instead of pushing. Knowing when your beautifully crafted corporate copy needs to sound less like corporate copy. That instinct comes from somewhere. In my case, it comes from a lifetime of using my voice to connect with people. True story: at 17, I won the Illinois state championship in radio speaking. Yes, that was a real thing. Yes, apparently I have been training for this job longer than I realized. THEATER KID → TEACHER → RESEARCHER → NONPROFIT LEADER → VOICE ACTOR Before becoming a full-time voice actor, I taught high school theater, performed improv, directed plays, developed curriculum, conducted research, trained nonprofit leaders, worked as a communications specialist, and spent years bringing people with very different viewpoints into the same room to actually talk to one another. I have graduate degrees from Stanford and Brown University, including research training that makes me unusually comfortable with dense, technical, academic, scientific, healthcare, and medical copy. So when your script contains pancreaticoduodenectomy, dehydrated hereditary stomatocytosis, methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase deficiency, or something your copywriter apparently created by dropping a Scrabble board down the stairs? Send it over. I’ll figure it out. MEDICAL + HEALTHCARE VOICEOVER WITHOUT THE “MEDICAL VOICE” For medical narration and healthcare voiceover, I bring the reassuring presence of a trusted professional without losing the warmth of an actual human being. That balance matters. Patient education should be clear without sounding condescending. Clinical training needs authority without becoming cold. A hospital recruitment video needs credibility AND heart. Medical e-learning has to communicate complicated information while giving the listener enough mental space to absorb it. As a Stanford-trained researcher, longtime educator, and experienced medical voice actor, I genuinely enjoy getting technical language right. Medical narration, healthcare explainers, pharma content, patient education, surgical procedure narration, CME modules, hospital marketing, healthcare recruiting, clinical training, medical e-learning — bring me the jargon. Hepatojugular sphygmomanometry? Easy. E-LEARNING FROM SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY TAUGHT PEOPLE Here’s a fun idea: What if your e-learning didn’t make employees want to flee the building? Before voiceover, I spent years as a teacher and curriculum developer, including eight years teaching in an underfunded urban public high school. If you want to learn whether you can hold an audience’s attention, try standing in front of a room full of teenagers who would rather be literally anywhere else. You learn some things. I bring that experience to every e-learning voiceover project: pacing that supports comprehension, genuine enthusiasm that doesn’t become exhausting, conversational delivery, clear transitions, and an instinct for when the learner needs ENERGY versus when they need room to process. I voice corporate training, employee onboarding, educational modules, compliance training, online courses, healthcare education, K–12 content, higher education, explainer videos, learning and development programs, and long-form instructional narration. And because I understand how much work went into your storyboards, learning objectives, scenarios, user journeys, and endless rounds of revisions, I keep my files organized. Need to update one sentence a year from now? You should not have to reconstruct civilization to make that happen. NONPROFIT + HIGHER EDUCATION VOICEOVER WITH ACTUAL MISSION EXPERIENCE I don’t have to pretend to understand mission-driven organizations. I used to run around inside them. Before becoming a full-time voice actor, I worked as a nonprofit leader, trainer, communications specialist, and community organizer in communities across the United States. I also helped launch a community-based women’s development NGO in Nicaragua. So I understand the particular challenge of nonprofit storytelling: you’re not merely communicating information. You’re trying to make someone care enough to do something. Donate. Enroll. Volunteer. Advocate. Apply. Participate. Believe. Whether I’m voicing a fundraising video, PSA, university recruitment campaign, credit union brand story, higher education video, community initiative, association project, advocacy campaign, or public-service message, I look for the human story underneath the copy. Mission-driven organizations deserve voiceover that sounds mission-driven too. COMMERCIAL + CORPORATE VOICEOVER THAT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE AN ANNOUNCER WALKED INTO THE ROOM For commercials, brand videos, corporate narration, explainers, internal communications, product videos, recruitment campaigns, and branded content, I specialize in the thing clients keep asking for: Natural. Conversational. Authentic. Real. You know — “just talk to me.” Except, of course, there are approximately 147 tiny performance decisions involved in making “just talk to me” sound effortless. That’s the craft. I can deliver fresh and real, smart and conversational, effortlessly confident, engaging and charismatic, quirky, sophisticated, trustworthy, aspirational, playful, reassuring, grounded, authoritative, warm, dry, understated, or quietly inspiring. And if you’re not exactly sure what you want yet? That’s okay too. I’m easy to direct, quick with adjustments, and happy to explore. TRUSTED BY NATIONAL BRANDS. JUST AS INVESTED IN THE SMALL JOBS. Since 2012, I’ve recorded for brands including Facebook, Comcast, Condé Nast, Buick, YouTube, Toyota, Jack Daniel’s, AARP, Ashley Furniture, and California Closets, along with 500+ local projects for small businesses, nonprofits, city and state governments, educational organizations, and community groups. And here’s something important: I don’t believe the size of the client determines how much I should care. Human energy is sacred. Somebody spent time writing that script, getting approval, finding funding, organizing the shoot, managing the stakeholders, building the course, or convincing seventeen people that yes, the video really DOES need professional voiceover. I honor that effort. The mom-and-pop business gets my attention. The nonprofit gets my attention. The 30-second local spot gets my attention. The national brand gets my attention. Small job or giant campaign, the goal is the same: make it excellent. “JUST ABOUT THE EASIEST SESSION I’VE EVER HAD.” That came from a producer. Another described me as: “Really knows her craft. A delight to work with.” And producer Kelsey Moore said: “One of the best I’ve worked with. Would recommend and hire again without reservation!” My favorite compliments aren’t really about my voice. They’re about the experience. Fast. Thoughtful. Flawless. Easy session. Quick response. Took direction well. That matters to me because voiceover is collaborative. You’re not buying a WAV file from a vending machine. You’re bringing another creative professional onto your team. I want you to finish our session with MORE energy than you had when we started. Also, apparently, enough time for a nap. NEED IT YESTERDAY? I’ve got your back. 24-hour turnaround is usually available, and I’m comfortable with tight timelines, pickups, live-directed sessions, evolving scripts, and those magical last-minute changes nobody saw coming except absolutely everybody. I record from my professional, acoustically treated home studio in sunny Albuquerque, New Mexico, using Sennheiser equipment and a Mac-based setup. My booth has an exceptionally low noise floor around -70 dB, so you receive clean, consistent, high-quality professional voiceover audio ready to drop into your project. I can deliver finished audio directly to your preferred file-sharing platform, and I take consistency seriously — especially for long-term corporate narration, e-learning, medical, and training projects where pickups may happen months later. BOOK DIRECT: www.brightsparkvo.com lizzy@brightsparkvo.com THE PATIENCE OF A SAINT. THE BRAIN OF A RESEARCHER. THE TIMING OF AN IMPROV COMIC. This may be the weirdest possible combination of qualifications for voiceover. It is also surprisingly useful. Teaching gave me patience, communication skills, and an instinct for audience engagement. Theater gave me storytelling, character, timing, script analysis, and direction. Improv taught me to listen, respond, make strong choices, and stop panicking when the plan suddenly changes. Research taught me to dig into complicated material until I actually understand what I’m saying. Nonprofit leadership and community organizing taught me that people listen when they feel like you understand them. Voiceover lets me use all of it. AND WHEN I’M NOT IN THE BOOTH... I’m probably dancing salsa, meditating, hiking, cooking, singing Bossa Nova, reading something that sends me down an intellectual rabbit hole, or inventing extremely elaborate murder mysteries. Yes, murder mysteries. I create custom murder-mystery events for corporate team building and private parties with as many as 50 unique, interlocking characters. Picture your coworkers dressed for Ancient Rome or Gatsby’s mansion, role-playing for two hours while somebody from Accounting tries to determine who poisoned the ambassador. That’s my idea of fun. It probably also tells you everything you need to know about the level of creativity and attention to detail I bring to a project. SO... WHAT’S YOUR STORY? I love voiceover because every script is a tiny window into this enormous world. One day I’m explaining a complicated medical procedure. The next I’m helping a university recruit its next class. Then I’m voicing a national commercial, an employee training module, a nonprofit fundraising film, or a 30-second video for a family-owned business somebody built from scratch. Good people doing interesting things. You bring me those stories. I get to help bring them alive. And I never forget what a privilege that is. READY FOR YOUR EASIEST SESSION EVER? If you’re looking for a professional female voice actor who is warm, conversational, intelligent, versatile, fast, responsive, highly directable, technically savvy, meticulous about details, and genuinely enjoyable to work with, I’d love to hear what you’re creating. Especially if the deadline was yesterday.
