I'm a well respected voice over artist from the Detroit, Michigan USA market with over 18 years of experience in radio and TV commercials, corporate narration, e-learning, IVR/on hold, GPS voice for the automobile industry, and VOG (voice of God) for live events.
I have literally voiced thousands of scripts in all genres for clients worldwide and worked nearly 15 years "on air" in Detroit TV and radio before moving into voice over work full time.
I've been doing this a long time and still love my job. Working with me is simple and quick. I take direction well, have a great attitude and am super reliable.
My goal is to give my clients exactly what they are expecting to hear. Customer service is my thing.
A quality home recording studio makes me accessible 24/7 and allows for quick and expedient turn around service.
(most often in a few hours).
A recent client selected me over 50 other auditions to record an 11 page phone prompt script for a large pharmaceutical company because of my "calm and still fresh voice sound."
Take a minute to listen to my demos...you will be pleased by what you hear.
I have a B.A from Wayne State University-Detroit in Mass Communications. I held a successful career in TV and radio news and anchoring for 20 years and now I work full time as a voice artist.
I always deliver two or three "takes" of a particular script to give the client a choice. I also like to include a different read because often times producers/clients don't know what they want until they hear it.
Even though I have been working at my craft for many years I still get excited about my next new script. Voice over, to me, is very intimate, spontaneous and anonymous.
I recently completed an e-dictionary of 50,000 English words. It took me a few months to record and edit the single words but I'm done! My client tells me the project is an app for the ipad. My last word was "malabsorption". Don't remember many of the other words but I do recall this one: "bootylicious" Yes, that is a legitimate word.
I record from my sound proofed home studio on a daily basis. I use Sony Sound Forge software and am able to delivery raw, clean, edited voice files via e-mail or ftp server. My microphone is an audio-technica 4033a cardioid capacitor. My editing skills are excellent.
I have a strong command of the English language and often help clients "fix" or "reword" scripts to enhance the project and help with timing.
I perform on camera work as well. I am "ear" proficient and have narrated hundreds of industrial videos and films.
