- Additional vocal abilitiesI have a neutral Scottish accent, but through acting training I can deliver several accents including English (also regional accents, like Birmingham, Yorkshire, Somerset and Newcastle), Irish (Northern and Southern), Welsh, American and Australian. I can deliver 'straight' vocals, such as corporate training/instructional content, or perform characterisation, such as heroes/villains, young/senior adults.
- Experience, training, and equipmentI am an experienced public speaker and have addressed a number of different audiences, from national stakeholder organisations to the general public. I have experience of radio broadcasting, having been a regular DJ on Ullapool's Lochbroom FM with content creation, ad recording and live broadcasting. Most recently I have delivered many video and audio recordings for the national charity Scottish Book Trust, providing read-a-long videos for schools and children, hosting the Bookbug Picture Book Prize awards and creating instructional and training content for staff and stakeholders. My home studio consists of a Rode NT1A Microphone (with shock mount and a pop shield which I alternate with a pop screen), a Neewer Isolation Shield, Nordell Audio Isolation Booth and Behringer U-PHORIA UMC202HD 24 Bit/192 kHz USB Audio Interface. I use several pieces of software for editing and mastering content, with a keen eye on the sector to ensure the quality of my recordings is consistently high. My studio is also well soundproofed and fully enclosed.
