I started working in radio at the age of 17 and thought I was the luckiest senior in high school.
I worked in Christian radio for 9 years before I decided to stay home with my kids. I also hosted and produced music interview programs and did a 100's of live and recorded interviews.
I also do televsion voice overs and have done message on hold for a local cable company.
I do a voice that whisles while talking and I did it on our sister station for their morning show. The audience really thought I was a real person and wanted to know where I would be performing. It was very funny! Having the talent to do character voices is also nice for playing jokes on friends and family. Listen to my demos and the many different accents and character voices I can do.
I also MC'd many concerts, music competitions and other live events. I was a live disc jockey for our weekly skate night events.

Most of my training was hands on and I learned a lot from professional producers who had over 30 years of experience. I worked 100's of hours in the studio learning, writing and producing. I would practice hours to get the voice over just right.
I took all the classes available at Del Mar college for radio and television. I attended radio and television conferences in Dallas, Houston and Corpus Christi.
In 1996 I won an Addy Award for a television voice over I did for Time Warner Cable.
For 2 years I volunteered on a daily bases at a local Christian Televsion station. I learned a lot about televsion production, camera's, on air hosting and master control.
I am also a speaker who ministers to young women and ladies about issues that face us today. I use a lot of humor and visuals to get my point across. I do a character called the "Makeup Lady" whose name is Mary Jane Jo Bob. I put on the makeup by using someone elses hands to apply the makeup. In the end it's a terrible mess but I really get my message across.
