I have a long career in VO, broadcasting, writing and production. My credits include host of a nationally-syndicated radio program, an award-winning documentary that I scripted, hosted and produced and work with major market radio stations around the country. In the field of broadcast, I am heard every night on SiriusXM's Symphony Hall Channel. I also host programs for stations in Connecticut, North Carolina, Texas and Minnesota- all produced from my home studio. I am also brought in to host live radio broadcasts for assorted classical music concert events in various markets. In the realm of voice over, I have been the voice of North American Precis Syndicate for the last seven years. I record audio for their nationally-distributed radio and television spots. I am a featured voice with Images in Motion- a company that provides in-flight entertainment for various airlines. Each month I record new music programming and general on-board announcements for them. I am the voice of audio tours for the Van Every Gallery in Davidson, NC. I have BM and MA degrees- both with a concentration in music performance. My 25-year career in broadcasting has taught me the skills of pacing and storytelling. I have learned how to be totally open and conversational while still sounding professional and inspiring confidence in my knowledge. I came to realize that developing skills in audio production would not only give me more control over my own projects, but make me a more versatile and desirable voice talent. To that end I took advanced audio production classes at the Vocational/Technical school level. I am proficient in ProTools and adept at multi-track production and mixing. I also have extensive skills in writing- fiction, non-fiction, radio/tv copy and scripts. I work on a 2013 iMac with ProTools 11. My microphone is a Neumann. If you're looking for funny characters, grumpy old lady and animé voices.. I am definitely NOT your girl. I am all about REAL. I sound like a real person because I am a real person using my real voice. I sound sincere and genuine and people tend to really respond to that. My sound is friendly and approachable to a wide variety of age groups and demographics. But please don't read "real" as unremarkable or uninteresting. I can put a smile in my voice. I can sound compassionate and concerned. I can sound authoritative and professional. I can sound like your next door neighbor. Or your wife. Or your colleague. I will make your words my own.
