I work in a call centre for federal government conducting surveys. I have to ask questions clearly and with proper dictation so respondents will understand right away what question is asking. An inflection on the wrong word could change the meaning of a question.
I have also worked in retail for many years, making the announcements and learning to be very outgoing in both verbal and on-verbal communications
Lastly, I spent 10 years introducing acts at the St. Albert International Children's Festival on stage. Starting with the generic housekeeping script then moving into a more exciting info for the act.
Went to college for costume design. There isn't anything around here for Voice acting and hasn't been in the last 10 years when I wanted to do this then.
In high school, I never missed a drama class, I went to performances and movies as much as I could.
Now I am scared, but I want to try my life dream.
I am currently taking weekly vocal lessons with Ron Long and hope to get into more practices or lessons when space and money are available
I am currently saving up for equipment and software of my own. I do have space and computers that are sufficient but the audio recording I have is only USB Turtle Beach for my heavy gaming days with friends. That is not the quality I want to be remembered for.
Any recommendations would be appreciated as I am currently leaning towards Rode NT1A Anniversary Vocal Condenser Microphone Package and Focusrite Scarlett-2i2 Gen2 USB Audio Interface with Pro Tools First
I have been a huge fan of anime and video games my entire life! I love cosplay and took a costuming class because I couldn't find a voice acting class thinking that if i couldn't voice the characters, ill makes them.
Ron Long is not only helping my voice over skills, he is helping me strengthen my voice for singing.
I have worked in the high school TV station, the editing rooms, Photoshop, I am usually self taught now when it comes to most things and refuse to give up on learning new skills.
