My experience starts in radio as a news radio reporter. My voice talent grew over years during my time as a television news reporter. Since I normally have to reach a wide audience talking about a very wide range of subjects, my voice has to change from story to story. It's really voice acting. I have done a lot of voice overs for news commercials or promotions.
My training in voice acting spans nearly a decade, starting when I was training for my career as a television news reporter in college. I have performed in numerous college plays and am quite familiar with musical production, since I have nearly a dozen years of training as a pianist. I have a bachelor's degree in Journalism / Mass Communication. I'm originally from Central New York, but my voice over work sounds more neutral Midwest.
I have extensive experience in television and radio voice overs. While that mostly requires a serious approach to doing voices, I have a skill for character voices as well. I enjoy doing valley girl and sarcastic voices as well as high-pitched witchy voices or very motherly voices. I can also mimick other voices I hear quite well.
