I STARTED DOING VOICE WORK WITH MY FIRST JOB AT A DOCTORS OFFICE. I DID THE BILLING AT THAT JOB BUT WAS APPROACHED ABOUT READING A SCRIPT FOR THE AUTOMATED ATTENDANT. THE SAME WENT FOR MY SECOND JOB AT AN INSURANCE AGENCY. I WAS THE RECEPTIONIST/BILLING CLERK AND WAS ASKED BY MY BOSS TO BE THE VOICE FOR THE COMPANY. THAT JOB WAS A LITTLE MORE HIGH TECH. I HAD TO ACTUALLY GO TO A RECORDING STUDIO FOR THAT, IT TOOK ALL DAY LONG. MY CURRENT JOB IS AT A DOCTORS OFFICE AS A BILLING SPECIALIST AND I AM ALSO THE VOICE HEARD ON THE AUTOMATED ATTENDANT THERE. I ALSO HAVE DONE SEVERAL ADS FOR MY HUSBAND WHO OWNS MOBILE GAS STATIONS. I DO ALL OF HIS ADVERTISING AT A LOCAL RADIO STATION . I AM ALSO THE VOICE HEARD ON THE ATTENDANT AT HIS CAR WASH.
I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY TRAINING IN THIS LINE OF WORK OTHER THAN THE PEOPLE I HAVE WORKED WITH AT DIFFERENT RECORDING STUDIOS AND RADIO STATIONS. I BASICALLY CAN TAKE A SCRIPT AND READ THROUGH IT ONE OR TWICE AND FEEL I AM CAPABLE OF GOING ON AIR WITH IT.
I AM A VERY ENTHUSIASTIC, ENERGETIC, OUTGOING PERSON WITH A REAL FLARE ABOUT MYSELF. I TAKE WHAT I HAVE AND MAKE THE BEST OF ANY SITUATION PRESENTED TO ME.
