Voice Over Biography I started doing voice over work by default when a friend of mine said “ Kenny you have to use that voice of yours it would be great for promos, tv or radio commercials”. So I seized an opportunity whilst at University in Manchester in (1998). I auditioned for a for a voice over for a Ugandan HIV Aids Awareness Project and got the lead role as the narrator which was aired in various parts of Uganda. I then decided to develop my skills further after graduating from University in Manchester. I decided to spend some time in London and attended a voice over masterclass course in (2004) which I learnt so much about using my natural voice, intonation, pitch, projection, muscularity of voice as well as vocal warm up techniques. In the following year I attended another voice over masterclass in Hertfordshire with Channel 4 Continuity announcer Gary Terzza who provided coaching and guidance on vocal warm up exercises, voice over commercials, narrations, tv and radio voice-overs and interactive voice-overs. This was followed by various commercial work for Birmingham’s Mailbox and Pavillion Shopping Centres. I also met a business entrepreneur who required internet commercials for various retail establishments in the East Midlands including Tao Academy and Aura Furniture Design. More recently I attended a voice over master class workshop in Camden North London with voice over agency and producers Cut Glass Recording Studios, the workshop was an opportunity to enhance existing skills and learn from other experienced voice actors and producers in the industry. In 2010 I met a music writer who composed the original soundtrack for Donkey Kong an arcade game developed by Nintendo in 1981. I was asked to sing backing tracks for the new version of the game which was released in 2010. More recently I auditioned for a video game which is being released in an episodic form by December 2011 on Mac and PC entitled Terminus Reprisal, in which I use a standard American accent as a slightly American soldier called “Steel”.
