My voiceover work builds on a 20-year career in local and network radio. I've done gigs for some great clients including Billy Casper Golf, the Department of Energy, Goodwill Industries, WorldatWork, the Partnership for Public Service, the National Association of Enrolled Agents, and Suburban Hospital.
I wore a number of different hats during my broadcast career: network news anchor, live reporter, features reporter, morning show co-host, and disc jockey. In addition to my on-air work, I have vast experience recording spot news reports, feature stories, station ID's and promos. I recorded an annual series of holiday features, "Stocking Stuffers," that was used by stations around the country.
I have also served as a volunteer reader for the blind for the Metropolitan Washington Ear.
I have trained with Edge Studio and Melissa Leebaert, an Emmy-winning voice talent and coach in the D.C. area.
I worked in radio for 20 years, most of that time at the network news level. I have extensive on-air experience and expertise in sound recording and editing. I know how to think on my feet and I know what it means to work hard. I don't miss deadlines. I also work as a writer, editor and proofreader; yes, that means I can help edit your copy!
I have worked as a disc jockey, morning sidekick, and news guy on various radio formats including Adult Contemporary, Oldies and Hot Hits.
I do public speaking and have experience as a public address announcer at sporting events.
I have a degree in psychology, and took several courses on acting, public speaking, communications, and writing.
In my home studio I have a Neumann TLM 103 microphone (also a Blue Baby Bottle mic), feeding into a Digidesign Mbox 2. I record on ProTools 8.0 on my Dell desktop and can feed audio files via highspeed Internet. My monitors are Yamaha HS 50M's and I use Sony MDR-7506 headphones. And I have everything plugged into a Monster Power Pro 2500 power center to protect against power surges and reduce interference. Bottom line: I can deliver crisp, clean audio tracks in a jiffy!
Drawing upon my 20-year career as a broadcast journalist, I am also a public relations consultant. I specialize in writing, editing and proofreading. I know what it means to work independently, delivering quality products in a timely fashion. I know how to communicate with audiences large and small, young and old.
I played the lead role in an episode of Who the (Bleep) on Investigation Discovery channel, in which I play one of the nation's most notorious serial killers!
