*Trusted communication. Intentional delivery. A voice that connects.*
I’m an American female voice actor with a mid-to-lower range, a little natural texture, and a knack for making copy sound like a real person said it. I can be your calm, credible, reassuring guide, or I can relax into a relatable, conversational read with some fun attitude. Same voice, two speeds, and I’ll take direction on either.
*The credibility behind the voice*
I bring 20+ years in counseling, client communication, teaching, and message design, including 12+ years in nonprofit counseling and ministry. I’ve spent thousands of hours talking with individuals and families in high-trust, emotionally sensitive situations, so I know how to deliver a message with empathy, clarity, and zero fluff.
As director of an established nonprofit department, I was asked to lead it in a new direction, and I built the systems and processes to make it happen. I wrote and taught an original six-week parenting curriculum for families in crisis, which taught me to adjust my delivery in real time. My communication work also includes a 40-page operational SOP with scripted client messaging, outreach redesigned from 75 client interviews, radio co-hosting, and recorded video curriculum.
*Healthcare fluency*
I have substantial nursing coursework, clinical experience (including Cook Children’s Hospital), and professional experience with medical terminology, Medicare/HMO benefits, insurance language, and PHI-sensitive documentation. Healthcare scripts don’t scare me, and I pronounce the hard words correctly.
*The fun part*
For 7 years, my husband and I volunteered with Burleson Centennial High School’s world-class indoor drumline program while our kids marched. We did grunt work and the design work, building props for marching and indoor seasons. I figured out I could carve Styrofoam into something worthy of a high-level competitive arena. Centennial’s best finish was 5th place at the WGI Drumline World Championships. In our final year, I helped my daughter push her 500-pound marimba all over tarnation. That’s dedication, and it’s the same energy I bring to your project.
I learned ukulele during the pandemic lockdowns, and I played piano in elementary school and flute in high school. I have a musical ear, and it helps with timing and phrasing.
*Texas born, DFW based*
I’m a native Texan in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and yes, I’m more Fort Worth than Dallas. My accent isn’t thick, but I can turn the Texas on or dial it all the way off, depending on what your project needs. Standard American, light Southern, or full Lone Star: just tell me how much ya' want. I record in the Central time zone, which makes live sessions easy to schedule on either coast.
*How I work*
Professional home studio: a custom booth with treated walls, ceiling, and floor, a Rode NT1 5th Gen microphone, and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
Revisions: at least 2 rounds included for any errors on my end, including mispronunciations
Live directed sessions: available through Source Connect, Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and more. I’m happy to connect however works best for you.
Voice style and strengths: Warm, conversational, relatable, authentic, clear, credible, empathetic, reassuring, instructional, edgy with a little attitude when the script calls for it.
Best fit: Healthcare, medical narration, nonprofits, PSAs, e-learning, corporate training, education, explainers, cause-driven campaigns, and brands that want a real, relatable voice instead of a polished announcer.
*Let’s make your message clear, credible, and easy to hear. Bonus points if it has personality.*
