I have never done any voice over jobs. The closest thing I have ever done for voice over is by recording a professional answering machine for my husband's ex-boss. He told me on numerous occasions how many people would comment about who recorded the answering machine voice. They would comment on how professional and well spoken I was in getting the proper information across in such a small amount of time.
I though have always wanted to do something in the voice over talent department. I have always seen commercials and such on TV that you would hear someones voice and wonder who it was. I have also always know someone had to get paid to read and record books. Since I enjoy books this would be something for me as well because along with enjoying the authors works, I could get paid to help someone else out with hearing the books for those who cannot see or for just the person who is to busy sit down and read a book but could listen to it in their vehicle.
I would just like a solid chance to prove myself and my voice. Everyone has to start somewhere. Right?
I have no professional training at all. I have never attended workshops or seminars on voice; but if given the opportunity to get involved in the business and find that I needed such direction I would certainly take the help.
I did do drama in High School, even though that has been 20 years ago. Some in my opinion just have drama and talent in the "raw" form. I am one of those people.
I have no professional equipment. I do have though; a good working computer with CD/DVD recording, Audacity software program (free version), and desire to learn.
I have a lot of professional customer service experience that would allow me to use my voice in a professional setting for businesses who are in need of voice mail messages or call center recordings. I also have a love of books and find myself reading offend, so my voice could be used to help others to know the stories our great authors are putting out for our enjoyment.
I just need that one chance to prove myself.
