My name is Katherine Leask. I'm a professional SAG-AFTRA actress, narrator, and voiceover actor, and I would be delighted to work with you. My voice is warm, authentic, engaging, intelligent, witty, sophisticated, friendly, conversational, and relatable. My voice creates trust and a relaxed authority for your project -- a sigh of relief with a welcoming hug. My services: I have my own dedicated home studio and offer broadcast-quality audio. I can accommodate live directed sessions via Telephone, Zoom, Skype or Source Connect. For most projects I can provide same-day or 24 hour turnaround. I am SAG-AFTRA so I work within my union requirements but I can be flexible within those parameters for your budget. My favorite Voiceover projects and genres: I love to voice commercials, animation, audiobooks, documentaries, e-learning, explainer videos, video games, promos. If I like your politics I will happily do political ads. Roles I can play: I can be your mom, aunt, your best friend, your sassy or sarcastic friend or neighbor, friendly co-worker, kooky girlfriend, the nosy neighbor next door, domineering mother-in-law, a doctor, lawyer, scientist, teacher or other highly educated and trusted professional and more! For animation and video games I can perform a range of character voices, from a small child to crazed witches to fearsome villains to kindly grandmothers. I really love being a villain. And I was the voice of the teacher in the long-running Nickelodeon hit series, "The Wonder Pets." I love fantasy novels and am currently voicing a 4-part YA Fantasy series of audiobooks. It's a cast of thousands. As a native Southerner, I can bring an authentic Southern sassiness and sensibility to those characters and projects as well. I am very comfortable with a wide range of foreign and domestic accents. If I don't already know it, I can probably learn it pretty quickly for you. Special Skills: I am a quick thinker and improviser, and with my extensive theatrical training I can bring both spontaneity and a commanding presence to your project. My World Beyond Voiceover: I've been a professional stage actress for a long time and am very comfortable with the bigger-than-life and complicated roles in the likes of Shakespeare, Shaw and Moliere. I'm currently a member of the West Coast Broadway company of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, playing that delightful villain, Professor Umbridge. Did I mention I like playing villains?
