Once upon a time in a magical land known as Bladen County, the 20th Century was drawing to a close and people were taking Prince's suggestion to party like it's 1999 literally. It just so happens it was 1999 and the radio industry was still hiring.
In January 1999, a young Kace Evers drove his car to Elizabethtown to pick up some fast food for slow eating. Along the way, he stopped by a radio station building owned by a man named Hauser. Kace told Mr. Hauser he wanted to work in radio and so he was made to learn the ways of the job. Over the next thirteen years, Kace would find himself doing a variety of things in the industry. There was DJ, board operations, production, voice work, grunt, radio station cluster building babysitter, program director, news announcer, on site engineer guy, color commentator for football, award finalist, local operations manager and occasional superhero.
What can I say? I've been rather busy. Now I wish to focus on lending my talents to the voiceover field and the fact that you're still reading this is a clear indication that we're meant to do something cool together. My experience ranges from working at radio stations WGQR, WBLA, WODR, WTXY, WCLN, WQSM, WRCQ, WFNC, Cumulus Broadcasting Fayetteville and I've hosted internet radio shows and podcasts, interviewed people such as Ilene Chaiken and Jeff Hardy, among others. There's also experience in being a DJ in Second Life which is this virtual chat thing. Fun times.
I was even a ring announcer once for a pro wrestling event. True story.
From 1999 to 2012, I've kept myself busy in radio doing one thing or another while also toiling in the online fun. Now I'm here for you and the voice talent I look to bring your way.
I've learned from years of being in radio and there's also the stage acting where I learned diction and projection.
I have an audio recording/editing system, a headset mic and a will to sound better than the other guy.
I can ad-lib where needed. I do confess however to being a terrible cook. Sorry about that.
