I have worked for 18 years as an actress in the voiceover industry. My work has ranged from BBC Radio Drama inc promo's and continuity; commercials for tv, internet, character voices & animation for videogames, audiobooks and classic IVR's and English Language Training for examination boards. I have a classic RP sound that is warm and velvety and specialise in British regional accents( esp Lancashire, Scottish, Welsh, London) and Australian and character/cartoon voices. I have a degree in Acting from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (1987-1990) and have worked as an actress in theatre, radio, tv and film since this time. I have worked extensively in BBC Radio Drama playing a wide range of characters including Scottish, Lancashire & Australian. I worked for 2 years in Hong Kong prior to the 'Handover' in '97 doing commercial v/o, videogames (inc "Bulma" in the "Dragonball" Series and voices for movie trailers & dubbing on movies. I have taught voice presentation to corporate speakers and have coached a whole range of clients from acting students to Marketing Directors. Mac Book Pro (2009), M-Audio Firewire Solo interface and NT1a Studio Mic I read to Stroke patients in hospitals (for the past 7 years). I read whatever the patient wants from poetry and short stories to news and general conversation. It is a hugely fulfilling job, not least because the positive effect one has on delivering a reading is immediate and tangible. I also read and perform poetry on a regular basis at my son's nursery. I love all aspects of working with the voice and the variety & creativity that it brings.
