I am looking to break into the voice over business and have been told I have an interesting, educated voice. I am willing to learn - but I'm a quick learner, and have been told I take direction well. I loved producing my showreel which includes me presenting to camera, as well as commercials for radio and TV and an audio book.
I studied French and drama at Hull University , where Anthony Minghella was my drama tutor. I was interested in acting and like to perform to an audience or camera, and appeared in a production called 'The peasant's revolt' about Wat Tyler directed by him.
Since then I have spent a long period of time as a teacher, taking part in and assisting with school productions and pantomimes.
I rely on my voice a lot at the moment as I am a distance tutor teaching EFL to French companies via the telephone, so my voice is an educational tool.
I made a showreel last year to show what I could do and had private voiceover tuition prior to recording, which was very beneficial.
