12 years ago I tottered in Viking FM a complete radio virgin. For some strange reason they hired me and worked there for three years in all deparments, but my passion lay in presentation and creative programme production.
I moved on to Minster FM, spending four years again in many roles, Features and Breakfast Show producer, laterally running a satellite radio station for a national supermarket (and the primary voice over) and co-presenting the breakfast show.
I've reported live from backstage at the countries biggest music festivals and interviewed a host of celebrities from Dot Cotton to Justin Hawkins, Paul Carrack (and Daniels) to Lionel Blair, The Spice Girls, Boyzone, The Darkness.
I moved from ILR to the BBC and worked as a broadcast journalist and producer for different shows and projects, including BBCi and Video Nation.
I stumbled upon working in radio and discovered very quickly I had a unique and fresh voice. I trained on the job, honing my voice skills over a number years. I started off for local independent radio, presenting programmes, voicing promos, commercials and station imaging. I have also worked for the BBC and learnt different voice skills there, developing 'all round' vocal style.
I also do messages on hold and voicemail greetings, I'm trained in audio and video editing skills
F1 Soundcraft folio mixer, Mic, Cool Edit and small music library
As well as having a great voice, I'm a creative person, who can really develop brands ideas, audio imaging concepts and great programme / commercial content. I am tecnically skilled and a great communicator too with a love and knowledge of contemporary music genres. Because I'm passionate about Radio, I present a weekly show on an internet radio station - 'The Crown Jules Show' with a potential worldwide fanbase!
