I have been singing since I was 5years old. In 1995 I participated in a live recording singing lead and back up on a cd. I even had the opportunity to sing on a jingle called "It's Union Time" for a Washington, DC healthcare workers union in 2001. I've always been told by my spanish teachers and native speakers that I have a great spanish accent. I have lots of friends that are west indian and have been told how authentic my Jamaican or Trinidadian accent sounds. But I never understood the power of my voice until I entered corporate america. I was always complimented on my professional voice as a customer serivce agent/assistant. In 2007 my voice was recorded multiple times by Education Station, LLC and heard all over the country as part of a voice broadcasting program to parents whose children qualified for SES services.
