I have incredibly limited experience, but I'm completely enthusiastic about learning. The main things I've done include tape recordings for Halloween Haunted houses locally for volunteer organizations(who knows where those tracks are though. Note to self: rerecord these as samples!)
I have a BS in Construction Management and an MS in Technology Systems (concentration in Digital Communications). It's a broad managerial degree which allows me leeway enough to be able to access additional opportunities in other fields.
My journalism experience is limited to high school bylines and ghost writing (which I have zero claim to, naturally). I love to act and sing, although I don't sing well enough for something like American Idol...but hey, if you need a tone deaf off key chick, you call me! *does the wink and the shooting from the hip gestures you see with men who wear polyester with sideburns down to their necks and gaudy thick chains embellishing their chests*
I've spoken in public, given presentations, taught class face to face and in the online atmosphere to people aged 10 and up to college.
I sold sex toys in the privacy of people's homes for 8 years. My schpiel had to be lively for several reasons including but not limited to: getting and keeping the attention of the "shy ones" without making them feel ashamed; maintaining the level of noise produced by overzealous partygoers, drunk or otherwise; being able to present my novelty items in a matter of fact manner and maintaining a business-like atmosphere while educating my current and prospective clients on the joys of toys.
Just drop me a line if you'd like to hear part of my old schpiels. I'll try to run a quickie through to you via email (if that's allowed).
Background in construction, digital communications, teaching (online and face-to-face), nursing, novelty home business.
