About John
I'm a public radio host who does not sound like a typical (boring) public radio host. I can project and be stagey, or clear and authoritative, or intimate and sexy. My voice is deep but with lots of mid and high transients that help it be heard over music, hair dryers, or traffic.
For a documentary, I can take you with Shackleton and his men into the Antarctic in 1914 ... and bring them all back to safety.
For a phone system, I can help your customers almost be happy they're waiting on hold.
For online training, I'm a regular guy who will teach your workers the subject matter, and help them feel like it wasn't as bad as they thought it was going to be.
CAVEAT: Because of my job, I CANNOT do commercial work.

- Experience, training, and equipmentI've been a radio anchor, host, and reporter since 1982 -- I currently host and produce a weekly news & arts show on KPCC in Los Angeles -- and can handle pretty much any copy you throw at me. I have daily access to a professional studio with an RE27 and an SM7B. Because of my job as a journalist, I CANNOT do commercial work, but for any other task, I will give you fast, professional, and respectful service.
