I have great facility with language, and I can quickly determine the tone, pace, rhythm, and energy that is required to bring a book or any written passage to life. I won the National Shakespeare Competition (out of 16,000 competitors) at Lincoln Center in 2004, so I have good text analysis skills, a command of the English language, as well as an actor's sensibility. My voice can be strong and confident, smooth and bassy, or raspy and worn, depending on the character. I do many characters, including NPR-style radio hosts, deep/raspy action heroes, nerdy teenagers, douchey frat guys, and wonderfully effeminate men. Lastly, I'm also an expert beatboxer (featured on NBC's "The Sing Off" and winner of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella at Lincoln Center in NY).
