- Experience, training, and equipmentI have been doing voice overs for 9 years. I had my first voice over experience during my internship with ESPN Radio 1000. I was able to practice in a side studio and imitate the radio personalities that I worked with. I really enjoyed practicing those commercials because they not only gave me some of the experience and confidence I needed, but I also received some compliments as well. It was a great feeling that has stuck with me ever since and I never lost the passion to do any kind of voice work. I have a home studio with an MXL 770 microphone which is hooked up through a GLS audio cable to my Scarlett 2i2 interface. I use my vocals not only for voice work but I am also a singer. By constantly singing and practicing voice overs and characters, my voice is always ready for the next challenge. I draw a lot of inspiration for my character voices from voice actors like Nolan North or Troy Baker. They are so talented and have such a long list of characters, that it inspires me to be as good as they are.
