As an English major in college, I was managing editor of the campus newspaper. Today I regularly write articles for newspapers and magazines.
My professional experience includes more than 30 years as a choral director and university administrator in North Carolina, New York, Florida and Virginia. I have degrees from Wake Forest University (BA), the University of North Texas (Master of Music Education) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (PhD).
I am a fan of Atlantic Coast Conference football and basketball, and active in my church where I sing in the choir.
