Several years ago I was working at a radio station in Virginia selling air time for a local rock station with a predominantly male audience. With my British accent, many clients felt that people would listen twice as hard if I would voice their commercials. At first I declined, realizing that not only was there a fine art to the recording but an even finer one to sounding excellent on air. After many requests, the production manager convinced me to give it a shot for a Mercedes commercial. As it turned out, I wasn’t half bad at the recording gig and the results of the commercial ended up with an increase in sales for the dealership of 143%! Needless to say, I then recorded the on hold messages for them too. The whole experience was such fun for me that I started learning more about the industry. With the help of the same production Manager, I purchased recording equipment and software and began to immerse myself in the learning process of the voice over professional. Within a few months, I started landing projects internationally and the feedback was tremendous. I believe that when you are passionate about the work you do along with being professional, accountable, courteous and honorable the results will speak for themselves, or in my case heard!
As you will hear from the demo’s, I am comfortable and experienced in mainly business presentations, internal corporate training, internet presentations, talk show promo’s, elearning projects, on hold messaging, audio books, commercials and internet entertainment. I have a neutral English accent that works best for clients who need a clear and precise straight recording to help brand there product or bring a European elegance to a presentation.
