I have a diverse background in voicing, broadcasting and theater extending back over 30 years (much as that number hurts!) This includes audio production, copywriting, voicing commercials, promos and PSAs and so on.
Since my radio and production days, I've kept active in the business through mobile DJ work as well as doing the bass runs that back up my regionally popular a cappella group, Wide Variety. Also, I do tons of writing and editing, followed by presenting and training to professional and executive audiences, as part of my current career as a business analyst.
Experience has taught me that if you do something for the love and you're any good at it, the money will follow. Well, the love is there and has been for all of my adult life. I haven't been able to get my heart out of voicing, whether it's as a DJ, singer, actor or broadcaster.
I couldn't move on this while the kids were small and the career was building up steam. But now that they're growing up and about ready to move on, I'm moving to build a career based on the activity I love: using my voice to communicate, persuade and entertain.
