I began my voice over career in Dallas, Texas in 1965 when I was selected as the national 'voice' of the Dodge Boys automotive campaign. I did these spots across the country for over 25 years. This led to a long and varied career recording local, regional and national spots for a myriad of advertisers. I've been a member of AFTRA and SAG since 1973. I'm currently the 'voice of Golden Chick
Restaurants in Texas'.
I began a radio career while in college at UT in Austin. While serving in the US Navy I built and managed an AFRS affiliate station near Manila, P.I. I worked as a DJ and talk show radio host on major Texas stations like KRLD Dallas and KPRC Houston.I've honed my voice-over skills thru years of experience doing commercials of all types.
In recent years, I've narrated over 50 "western" audiobooks by famous writers like Zane Grey, Max Brand, Louis L'Amour, Ralph Compton and Matt Braun. As an audiobook narrator I've learned to play all the characters, women included. I've received rave reviews in Audiofile Magazine for my narrations.
