There are Hollywood low-budget films and there are Tampa Bay low-budget student films. My friend co-wrote, directed, and edited. I co-wrote and acted (multiple roles if necessary). One thing I would ask for is a voice-over, nothing moves a film along better, or gives it a sense of authenticity, than a well placed voice-over.
Films like What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Virgin Suicides, and Fight Club are my inspirations for voice-overs. What does films have in common is a very soft, crackly voice, one that draws you in and drags you into the story. Every word rasps with a sense of importance, and reality. It makes the film real because you feel the character's pain, or sense of lack of reality.

I have a Marketing Degree, but I was able to take a class that allowed me to have my own radio show. The most effective way to keep a listener's attention is to have a voice that leaves you hanging on every word, it's a rhythm that mellows out the listener.
