One of my earliest voice over related projects began in a theatre production entitled A.K.A. Fangirl. It was a comic book themed stage play that was written and directed by Jeremy Beaulne, and presented by The Red Dot Players theatre company in early 2016. I played a comic book style narrator, who would be off-stage, announcing the situations of the characters. I provided two radio bumps for JetSetRadio.live, a fan site/radio station based off the cult SEGA video game, Jet Set Radio. I also contributed my voice to an ad promoting Cancer Awareness on Kelowna based radio station, Sun FM.
I have taken a video/media production class, to which I have done voice overs for my own videos, as well as voice overs for the projects of other classmates. I have also performed in a high school theatre company, to which the course had taught me the skills of basic singing, vocal projection and vocal range. In terms of post-secondary experience, I have attended two workshops from seasoned people who have worked decades in the film industry, such as actress Angela Quinn and casting director Paul Weber.
I have a basic home studio that consists of acoustic foam covered walls, an MXL-MCA-SP1 studio condenser XLR microphone, and an Art USB Dual Pre audio interface for gain control and the 48V phantom power required for the microphone.
My strongest quality is a baritone voice suitable for narration and radio, whether it be for fun or professional projects. I also have a knowledge and history with creative writing, as I have excelled at many English related courses, and have written scripts for videos and voice overs, as well as short stories and poetry.
