My voice has a clear, smooth tone that works well for commercials. My voice has been described as sincere, fresh and engaging when reading commercials, phone system messages and public service announcements. I have a confident, authoritative style that is a good fit for documentaries and other long-form narration and corporate videos. Previous training in medical transcription has given me a comfort level with medical narration and training in music works well for jingles.
I completed training with SuchAVoice in Vermont. My experiences that relate the most to voice-over work include participating in work-related training and recruitment videos for research projects and hospitals.
I have a home studio equipped with a Rode NT microphone, a Scarlet 2I2 amplifier, a Portabooth and Yamaha headphones. I use the Audacity sound recording and editing program.
I am comfortable learning field-specific terminology and jargon. I take direction well and can organize my time and attention on multiple projects.
