I was the on hold message "Queen" for Pizza Hut...selling you discounted breadsticks and dipping sauce while you waited "on-hold." I've been the voice of two of the Care Bear dolls: Wish Bear and Luv-A-Lot Bear...soothing children to sleep the world over :) I've sold mufflers (Midas Mufflers), cellphones (Alltel), fun toys to kids in the UK through a Burger King spot and Hershey's Kisses to folks in Brazil. I've been the voice of a spritely little girl cartoon - who champions the cause of hand-wipes for kids - and has also been a disgruntled Jewish grandma complaining about her neighbors in a radio comedy bit. Speaking about radio comedy...I've been Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Tara Conner, a reporter, an announcer, a sex-kitten and a church lady... And when all is calm... I'm sure to be reading to the blind on a weekly basis through Intouch Radio Networks (NYC) and previously for many years with WLRN in Miami.
I started out as a singer, singing my whole life on stage and then in the studio...it was a gradual change...but I've been doing and enjoying VOs ever since. My clear speech pattern really comes from my mom's family...who originally hails from the midwest. I hadn't realized this until I lived in Iowa for a year...and jeez...sounded like everybody else out there. How funny...for a girl that grew up in South Florida! Anyhoo...(btw...that comes from my mom too!:)...after attending the University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL) School of Music, and studying theatre and acting at various independent Florida schools, I also studied voiceover privately with Connie Zimet (One of the very best in the industry!). I've also had a private VO class with the renowned dialect coach for Catherine Zeta-Jones and Drew Barrymore (and more...) Larry Moss in LA and in New York, I've studied with Pamela Lewis and Wendy Dillon. My vocal coach is Shannon Boyce.
I'm great with kids and have done lots of story-telling and characters at kids parties. With a flair for the comedic...I've also been almost every female character in "Tony and Tina's Wacky Italian Wedding" and have been a member in many other comedic ventures: "Punch 59" Sketch Comedy Group, "Laughing Gas" Comedy Improv Group, a regular performer with a mystery dinner theatre group: Dimond Productions and with NYC-based, "Hanging Cow Productions."
At present, I'm a writer and voice talent with the Daily Comedy Network, a company that provides current and entirely silly radio bits for stations Country-wide.
