Broadcast and VO pro that has appeared in literally thousands of commercials. On air talent in Washington, DC, primarily with NBC group for over a dozen years. Voiced for both local and national programming originating on the NBC radio network, the local NBC TV outlet, WRC Channel 4 and feeds to the NBC TV network including George Michael's Sports Machine, The McLaughlin Group and others. Have also done long form narration for the History Channel, Military Channel, Independent productions including a 12 hour Story of the Beatles.
Studied Radio and Television at St. Louis University with an emphasis on Broadcast Management. Attended various professional actors' workshops in Washington DC. Most of my training at the beginning of my career was hands on training in real radio and TV stations. Worked at the Public Radio Group in Louisivlle, KY as Production Director. Public radio produces many locally originated, long form programming. Produced and voiced a weekly one-hour program on Louisville's lost recordings from a very active and successful local music scene which included long forgotten recording of rock bands from the 60s and 70s.
I am able to produce various complete voice projects out of my home recording studio. I use Adobe Audition as my sound editing software because it happened to be the first one I learned on and was easy to use. For my voice I have found a preference for an Audio Technica 4040 Cardioid Condenser Microphone with large diaphragm that produces very natural audio and fits my voice. On selected projects I also employ a Sennheiser MD-421 mic, a dynamic cartioid mic, more directional, and with a 5 position bass rolloff that comes in handy. These run through a Behringer mixer and preamp into Roland digital stereo micro monitors.
