Experienced, Professional, Voice Artist.
Studio owner, producer, engineer, and editor. My full-time job for over 24 years has been in the voice recording profession. I've worked with local and national agencies.
Engineered sessions with Snoop Dogg, Hanna-Barbera, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, EA Sports, Kid Rhino, and many more.
Voiced national commercials for Scooby-Doo Live and political ads for Pat Buchanan and Senator John McCain.
I was awarded a prestigious Silver Telly for Sound Design in 2009.
I may sound like Ted Baxter by saying, "I started off a 1000-watt daytimer...." but it's true. Out of high school, it was my goal to be a radio announcer. I worked in broadcasting as an on-air personality for 15 years. I then moved into live TV audio and production, working all aspects from live news in the studio to location, live sports audio for the networks, and satellite newsgathering audio.
I did my first official VO session as paid talent for an ad agency in 1979. Then, in 1989 I started my own VO business working exclusively for ad agencies. That later blossomed into non-broadcast VOs and live sound for corporate events.
I have an excellent voice studio with an isolation voice booth. I use a PreSonus StudioLive mixer with a Rode NT2A, EV RE-20, or EV RE-27 microphone.
I don't use compressors, limiters, or EQ. I deliver a high-quality recording without coloring the voice since that's normally done in post.
My digital recording is PC based utilizing the latest recording software, digital interface, and a Telos One mix-minus phone interface.
I voice, record, edit, mix, and master.
I am easy to work with. I take direction well and consider myself a member of your team.
Pre-production meetings to discuss a project are welcome. I've been a producer with tight budgets and deadlines, so I strive to be an asset to your project.
